Spill Kits – Which is the Right One for Your Workplace?

Do you know which spill kit is right for your workplace?

Having the correct spill kit on hand at a worksite is essential to minimise risks to employees and to meet environmental obligations. Spill Crew manufacture a wide range of spill kits in a variety of sizes to suit a range of applications. Colour-coded, purpose built, Australian made spill kits are divided into three categories:

• General purpose – colour coded blue
• Oil & fuel – colour coded yellow
• Chemical / Hazchem – colour coded red General purpose (all liquid) spill kits provide control and clean up for most applications in today’s modern warehouse.

They are ideal for containing and absorbing oil, coolant, degreasers, paint, weak acids or any non-aggressive liquids. Oil and fuel spill kits are ideal when spills occur in or around water. The absorbents in these spill kits will absorb oil, fuel, solvents and other hydrocarbons whilst repelling water. In the event a spill involves harsh chemicals or where the nature of the liquid is unknown, a hazchem spill kit is required. This range is suitable for absorbing chemicals, aggressive acids and bases (alkalis), paint, solvents, oils, fuels, coolants, degreasers, herbicides and pesticides.

Spill Crew spill kits are made in Australia and available in a variety of sizes with absorbent capacities to suit most applications, from handy vehicle grab bags up to 120L and 240L wheelie bins.
